Eduardo Antiao (Violoncello) and Tobias Kochseder (accordion) met for the first time during the summer of 2016 as buskers in the city of Graz, Austria. It was the beginning of a project that has now lasted for over 8 years and has seen many local and international performances. From a simple beginning in the alleys of downtown Graz, their path led them to jazz bars, festivals, dance schools, large concert halls and everything in between. They have played at the Vienna Konzerthaus, Graz Schauspielhaus, Austrian International Storytelling Festival and styriarte, among others.

The constant development of their ensemble sound, communication, arrangements, improvisation and creativity can also be traced back to their studies at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz, where they had recieved many lessons in classical chamber music and jazz, as well as their collaborative work as part of larger formations. A diverse program consisting of classical transcriptions, Argentine tango and zamba, Brazilian choro and forró, jazz and pop is the product of the two musicians’ long musical journey, and their journey is far from over.

CD: Música Popular

2024 we recorded our first studio album: “música popular”, which includes our favorite pieces out of our tango, choro and jazz repertoire. The title is inspired by the double album “Musica Popular Contemporanea De La Ciudad De Buenos Aires” by Astor Piazzolla, and refers both to our connection to his music and to the deep roots of folk music and folklore in our popular music today.
